The answer my friend is Khaw Boon Wan, the Answer is Mr Khaw Boon Wan

Uncle Khaw is the right man at the right time for the job. Dun get me wrong, whenever I kena stuck in MRT trains breakdown, I wished Uncle Khaw was right there with us so he can feel our pain. Hear me out. When former transport, Tuck Yew stepped down in 2015, he readily said yes after the Prime Minister asked him. Since then, there has been no stopping him.

Uncle Khaw, You legit or not

In a society of “what-have-you-done-for-me lately”, have to remind everyone that under his watch, Singapore tackled the national crisis SARS. He also managed the 2011 housing crisis and made the housing market stable through a series of cooling measures along with a reduced waiting time for those waiting for a HDB rental flat.

Of course, right off the bat in his role as the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Minister for Transport, he continued the works-in-progress improvements from Tuck Yew such as the overhaul of the signalling project for the red and green lines and the renewed focus on engineering and maintenance.

Uncle Khaw, Dun Commit Hara Kiri

In a society of “Instant Gratification aka Faster Fix leh”, Uncle Khaw has done pretty well in the areas of land, air and sea. Under his watch, the red line has stablished, the signing of regional agreements at the recent Asean Transport Ministers Meeting, the opening of the Downtown Line 3 aka blue line on Oct 21. To stay competitive, Changi Airport Terminal 4 opened a few days ago

In his head, he would like to enhance a public transport and make Singapore a car-lite society. Uncle Khaw also encourages walking and cycling as a green, sustainable and healthy lifestyle. His walkable City in a Garden Masterplanwill raise Singapore’s quality of life, besides protecting the living environment.

So Uncle Khaw, if you commit hari-kiri, who else can take over?

Uncle Khaw, please whack!

In a society of “where not everybirdie can own cars”, the recent flooding incident on the red line was UNACCEPTABLE. It stalled the red line for 20 hours. Uncle Khaw knows our pain. Made a rare appearance with SMRT CEO Desmond Quek and whacked!

“North-South Line flooding was preventable, SMRT team failed us”

But think we also know now got some “deep-seated cultural issues” within SMRT. Now we know the root issue and time for Khaw and his team to fix it.

For a guy who is the subject of thousands of memes (and often compared to Henry Thia) and who never seems to comb his hair, we know Uncle Khaw is not a vain guy but a guy who gets the job done. In Uncle Khaw we trust!
